Tucked into the corner of Northwest Connecticut is Great Mountain Forest, a 6,300-acre conservation success story and a model of what a community forest could and should be.
Over more than a century, the once barren landscape has been sustainably managed and is now a thriving woodland, rich in biodiversity, where moose, black bears and bobcats roam.
Today, our impact reaches far beyond our boundaries. Through education and outreach, we serve as:
