Help provide a new refrigerator and kitchen equipment
Help Us Serve Meals Efficiently and Preserve More Food!
We are raising funds to replace essential meal service supplies and purchase a new refrigerator that helps us provide food to guests beyond our daily meal programs.
Every day, we work to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. On many days, we serve more than 100 lunches, but our meal
service equipment is struggling to keep up. Our supply of plates, forks, and spoons has steadily dwindled, leaving staff and volunteers scrambling to wash and reuse items throughout meal service just to meet demand. This challenge is especially difficult during our busiest times and for weekend
volunteers who may be managing a full-service kitchen for the first time.
Funds raised will allow us to replace these basic but essential items, helping us serve meals more efficiently and ensuring that every guest receives
a meal with dignity.
We also urgently need to replace a refrigerator used to store perishable food for guests. Our current refrigerator has become unreliable and
requires constant temperature monitoring to keep food safe. Without dependable refrigeration, valuable donated food—including fresh fruits and
vegetables, prepared meals, dairy products, and other perishables—can spoil before it reaches those who need it most.
A new refrigerator will allow us to safely store donated food, extend its shelf life, and reduce waste. It will also help us provide take-home items for guests to enjoy on days when we do not serve dinner, as well as food for their children, families, and others who may be unable to visit our meal program in person.
During the winter months, the refrigerator also plays an important role in supporting guests staying in our emergency overnight shelter by providing storage for additional meals and food prepared on-site.
Your support will help us strengthen our ability to serve our community, reduce food waste, and ensure that nutritious food remains available to those who depend on us. Every contribution brings us closer to providing reliable meal service and safe food storage for the people we serve.
